I am so grateful to have knowledge of The Plan of Salvation in my life to know that this will only be a temporary separation between us and Grandma Sandy. I am grateful to know that "the sting of death is swallowed up in Christ" and that all the pains and burdens of this mortal world are now lifted her shoulders. Grandma Sandy can now move on and keep living as a spirit "into a state of happiness, which is called paradise, a state of rest, a state of peace, where [she] shall rest from all [her] troubles and from all care, and sorrow". I know that just beyond the veil our family was waiting for her, welcoming her with open arms.
I know that the Resurrection is real. I know that at times we will miss her. But this is only a moment of separation. The day will come when we will all be together. Not just as an energy or as spirits, but with bodies. We will be able to hug and embrace. We will have perfect bodies. The Lord has promised us that "even there shall not so much as a hair of their heads be lost; but everything shall be restored to its perfect frame". We will be able to see Grandma again. We will be able to look into her loving eyes and see her warm smile. We will get to hear her laugh again and hear her stories. I am so grateful for these blessing that are ours thanks to the Atonement and Resurrection of our Savior Jesus Christ. This kind of knowledge really isn't in many people lives today. The Resurrection is much more than a nice thought or a philosophy. What a great duty we have to help others to find the peace that comes from the knowledge of the Plan of Salvation. I am so grateful to be a missionary here in Sweden and be able to help others understand God's Plan.
This week has been a pretty solid week of work. We were able to get a lot done and teach some really great investigators. Elder Carter is still working really hard and keeps that new missionary flame burning. He has really been great about relying on the Spirit in everything we do. I have really liked that about him. We are fighting on up here in the north.
We had meet with an investigator this week named Kimberly. She is super positive and is always nice, however she is at times pretty busy. We thought it would be a good Idea to meet with her and a member this week. I thought that she probably wouldn't be able to make it because we had already meet with her this week and that it would be on a Friday. Well, Elder Carter encouraged me to text her anyway and before we did he asked if we could say a prayer. Well she texted us later that she would love to meet with as and a member! I guess I should really be relying on the lord a little more.
Well not much more for me up here in Boden. Next week I will be down in Stockholm for P-day. So I am not exactly sure how emailing is going to work out. Sorry not much on photos this week. I just have a few pictures of the snow and our car, and the sun coming up/down this morning. I love you all and I really hope that you all are doing well.
