This week we went to Mission leadership council at the mission home. It was fun to be able to go back to the mission home again, but kinda sad because the Beckstrand’s had all of their stuff moved out. But it felt good to be there. President and Sister Beckstrand gave a fantastic training about being a good leader (and a good parent). They had this awesome diagram about how you have to have high expectations with a combination of a high love which makes those around you work hard and understand that you love them. It's kinda hard to explain while typing. But it was super good. This was officially my last training from President and Sister Beckstrand. It has been great to always learn from them. They really are super full of wisdom.
Well this week we had an accident. We got a notice from the landlord that they would be cleaning the pipes in our apartment so they needed an extra key. We got an extra key from the Office Elders and had it in our apartment. Later we went on splits with the Hägersten Elders and after me and Elder Cluff switched back we went out to go contacting. We planned to meet an investigator at Church and when we got there we realized that we didn't have the keys. It was awkward that we couldn't show our investigator the church, but we were able to make it a good object lesson about the great apostasy and lost priesthood keys. Haha.
Anyway we called the Office Elders and they said the only extra key was the one they gave us. And they were in the apartment with our other keys. and the door locks automatically behind us... So we were going to have to call a locksmith to open our door. Well it was about 8 at night and we were thinking we would have to sleep over at the other Gubbägen Elders' apartment. But a member was able to find us a Locksmith in time for decently cheap. The Locksmith guy came and tried a few different things. Then he pulled out a drill and drilled into the lock. We were kinda stressed about that, but he eventually opened the door and somehow magically fixed the lock. We didn't have to get new keys or anything. But it cost us 1000kr to get the door open so that wasn't very fun. Especially because that came out of our own pocket.
This week we had a phone call with our Zone because missionaries are no longer able to have Zone training. But instead we called our Zone and told them our Zone vision. It went really well actually. Our zone vision is going back to the basics and focusing on our purpose. The zone took it really well and so far; we have been able to make it one of our goals! Also the Stockholm Zone is one of the best performing zones in the mission right now. The Zone has got a lot of fire so that is super good. We are pretty happy about it.
Happy Father's Day Dad!! I am really grateful to have you as my Dad. Thanks for teaching me everything I needed to know to come out on my mission. You have always been a great example to me of Christ like love and patience. I love you and can't wait to see you soon.
