Well this week was another cold week! It's been pretty windy the past couple of days and the cold just seems to go through every single layer of clothing! It is crazy that it is March already, and it's still super cold! Crazy!
This week has been a pretty eventful week so that is good! We started off the week with a great lesson with our investigator Ando. We talked about the Book of Mormon and a little bit about the priesthood. It was a great lesson. On Wednesday, we had Elder Blattman and his companion stay the night with us for mission tour. It was great to see Elder Blattman, my good old MTC companion, again. Did you know that it has been over a year since I last saw him?! It's crazy how big this mission is that you at times won't even see people in mouths. Elder Blattman was doing really good though. He has really grown a lot. It was funny because when I was with him I got a phone call from a member and I was speaking Swedish with the member. Elder Blattman thought it was crazy when I was speaking Swedish because last time I saw him I couldn't speak Swedish at all! So it's really weird for me to think about how far we have come in these past months.
On Thursday we had mission tour with President Kearon of the Seventy. He was the one in conference a mouths ago who talked about refugees. Well, President Kearon is like the coolest guy ever. He is from England and was converted when he was 26. He was super spiritual and pretty funny as well. For the conference we had four zones come together so there was a ton of missionaries there! It's even more crazy to think that it wasn't even our whole mission there. Anyway, President Kearon talked a lot about how happy they all were about how work we were doing in Sweden. He gave us a lot of encouragement and great advice. One thing that I liked was that he said that we have got to look like our message. What would the message of the Gospel look like? That is what we have to look like! We have got to be happy and full of light and confidence! I thought that was really cool. He told us to stop worrying so much and work hard. It was a fantastic conference. You could really tell that he was being led by the spirit. It was nice to be able to see a lot of the other missionaries as well. I got to see many missionaries that I hadn't seen in a while. One thing that I love about a mission is that you have a ton of opportunities to make new friends. I feel like I have made a lot of friends on this mission so far. I love them all so much and it was good to be able to talk with them all again.
My week continued with going on splits with Elder Domino in our district. He is currently being trained right now so it was fun to be with a new missionary again. We went and contacted a bit in Gamla Stan. We usually don't contact much in Gamla Stan because there are so many tourists there but we decided it would be fun to go anyway. We had several good conversations with people and it was just fun to be in the old town. In fact, we had a really good conversation with a couple who didn't believe in God at all and we were able to help them understand how God can help them in their lives; as well as talk to them a bit about the plan of salvation and why we are here. It turned out to be a really good conversation even though they weren't every positive at first. We then went to do Book of Mormon Musical contacting again. I cool thing happened. A few weeks again when I was handing out Book of Mormons outside the musical I had a really good conversation with a woman for about 15 minutes about the Book of Mormon. She told me that she had seen the Musical 10 times in England and this was the first time that she had an opportunity to get a Book of Mormon. I was able to bare my testimony of the Book of Mormon and encourage her to read it. Well on Friday, while I was giving out Book of Mormons I felt a tap on my shoulder and it turned out that it was the woman again! She was happy to see me again and told me she had begun to read the Book of Mormon. We had another great conversion about what I believed. She apparently works with kids with special needs and I told her how this gospel has helped me and my family. She seemed pretty touched and said that it really made her have a new outlook on life. She took my phone number and said after she has read more that she would call. So that was pretty cool.
On Sunday we had Stake Conference and we all got together to see a broadcast from Salt Lake City to Northern Europe. It was pretty cool and our investigator Ando was able to come and he really liked it. He said that he is going to have to come to Church more often which is really good because he hasn't been coming a lot. Then we were able to have dinner with our ward mission leader. He is a super cool guy. He is a convert from Peru! He is a super solid guy and really wants the Ward to grow so he has been working hard with us to get stuff going. So that is cool.
Anyway, that has been my week! Hope you are all doing good!
