Well, I am here now in the big city of Stockholm! It's pretty cool. I kind of feel like I am just here visiting and will be going home to Boden. But I live here now so that is pretty crazy. We are traveling around the city a lot on the tunnelbanna. A tunnelbanna is like their subway system here. Pretty cool. I am in Stockholm, so that means that I have to be talking to all the people right in the middle of Stockholm. I have never been rejected so much in my life then I have in these past 5 days. Like seriously, people in the Stockholm can be mean. We have also have had like 5 lessons set up and then the person never showed up. So that is a bit rough. But, it has been really fun anyway. My new companions name is Elder Harris and he is a super awesome Elder. He is 18 and full of energy. Pretty smart guy as well, his Swedish is really good for being in Sweden for only 3 months. So I think this will be a good transfer despite the fact that the work here is a little rough. But we got some cool investigators. We meet with this guy named Ray and had a great lesson. So that was cool.
Another cool thing that is happening right now is that The Book of Mormon musical is in Stockholm right now. It is seriously like the best thing for missionary work. It gets a ton of people interested in the Book of Mormon! So each night of the weekend we will got and stand outside of the theater as people come out of the musical and hand out Book of Mormons. The people love it. We missionaries love it also. Haha. They see us with our white shirts, ties, and name tags and get really excited. We will give out about 100 Book of Mormons in about 30 to 40 Minutes. The people are pretty funny because they will want to take pictures with us and everything. It was so weird for me because for the first time Swedes were coming up to us asking us for Book of Mormons. It was cool because we would look around and see everyone reading the Book of Mormon. A lot of them didn't even believe we were real missionaries. XD They just thought that we were part of the show because we all had our White shirts and name tags on. Some of them would ask us, "Don't you feel insulted by the musical?" because it makes fun of Mormons quite a bit in the musical. I always tell them no, because we can laugh at ourselves and it also gets people interested in the book anyway. I think Sister Beckstrand put it best when she said, "We aren't insulted, because we know what we believe". It has been pretty fun being able to contact people after they have seen the musical.
Well, I am happy to hear that you are all safe after the car crash. This is crazy, that looks like a horrible crash! I can't believe that this happened. That is really good that everyone was wearing their seat belts. That must have been pretty traumatizing. That is amazing that Zoey survived as well. I am very grateful for the fact that God watches over you all. I can't believe all the things that have happened since I have been on my mission. Like the fact that you were in a car that rolled several times and all still were able to walk away is pretty unbelievable. I am more than happy to know that you are all safe. Looks like God really does keep to his promises. Hope to hear more about it all soon.
Hopefully I remembered everything.
Much Love!
