Speaking of peace, we had an awesome Zone training where we got to see the new Easter initiative and it's pretty awesome. It focuses on how Christ is The Prince of Peace. It is super good video that shows how in a world of tribulation how we can find peace in Christ. I think that this will really be a good focus for the people here in Sweden. A lot of times when we ask people why they don't believe in God and they say it's because there are too many bad things that happen in the world. I am always so fascinated by that because, for me, I think that there are so many bad things therefore there must be a God. Otherwise, there would be a lot of things which are unfair and really no meaning to life. To know that God lives and that through Christ we can overcome our weaknesses and return to God brings me peace. I guess that hasn't been a blessing that I have really thought about till this week; just how much this gospel has brought me peace. I hope that is something we can always try to remember in times when we feel uneasy or restless is that we have Christ. He has broken the chains of death, can help us begin again, and heal us both physically and spiritually. So I think once we can help the people here in Sweden make that connection, then people will really start to want to come to Christ. So definitely check out the Easter video when it come out on Friday on Mormon.org.
This week on Friday I got a nice surprise visit from Nina and Sarah from Eskilstuna! Apparently they both really wanted to come see me while I was here in Stockholm so they came on Friday! It was so good to see them! They are the nicest people ever. Sarah just talked on and on about how she loves the Church. She said "There are so many things that I want now that I didn't know that I wanted before". Apparently she is still helping the missionaries and is now the young women's president. She's got a quad set of scriptures now, and when I was talking with her she used terms like "line upon line" and such. It's amazing how much she has grown in the Gospel since I left. Her and Nina and I all talked about our times in Eskilstuna and told me how great of a friend I was. It really made me happy to know that I had made a difference in someone's life. I was really on the edge of crying because of how happy I was. They both talked about how grateful they were for the missionary work that I was doing. It reminded me a lot of why I am here and the magnitude this work has on people's lives. It's amazing how the gospel can change someone's life for the better. That gave me a lot of peace. So that was possibly the best moment on my mission.
I hope you all have a great week this week, and take some time to open up those scriptures and remind yourself why Christ is called The Prince of Peace. Think of some questions you might have and get ready for general conference this week end! It's the missionaries super bowl so we are pretty excited for it!
