Well this has been a pretty crazy week for me. Last P-day I got to go to Kirstanstad to play Laser-tag with some other members of the Zone. That was nice to be able to see everyone. Then on Wednesday we traveled up to Göteburg for Zone Conference. It was amazing, we talked about the Restoration and Personal testimony. I got your letters. They were very nice thank you. It was a very nice conference that really made me happy to be teaching the restored gospel. Then one Saturday I got to go with the stake to the temple! IN DENMARK! So wonderful! There is a bridge that connects Sweden to Denmark and it goes under the water at one point which was pretty cool. The Temple in Denmark is Beautiful! It is just in the middle of a lot of apartment buildings but it is one of the coolest temples I have ever seen. The inside is just as beautiful as well. While I was walking to the Temple I saw some Danish missionaries. One of them recognized me and I recognized him. It was one of the missionaries who was in the MTC at the same time as me! It was crazy to see him again! And in Denmark of all places!
I had an interesting experience while I was in Denmark. A few minutes away from the temple is the Church of our Lady, which has the original Christus statue. Lining the walls of the church is statues of the twelve apostles. While I was in Denmark I of course wanted to take a look at the original Christus! Well we traveled to the Church and I went to the doors only to see the chapel was closed due to a baptism. I was pretty disappointed. I asked the man at the door if I could go in seeing as I was already wearing a suit. He said no. However, I saw that there was a Peephole in the old door to the chapel. I peered into the Chapel to see the glorious Christus Statue standing at the end of the great hall. The Statue was beautifully lit by a gold wall in the background. I could see some of the apostles on the walls. It was hard to be on the outside looking in. I decided then, that I would never want to be on the outside again. I want to return to be with my father in heaven and his son Jesus Christ.
Well, I got a transfer call on Saturday. I am going up to Luleå! That is the most northern mission in Sweden. It's also like the 6th most Northerner branch in the world! I will be there for the Winter... So It is going to be very cold, very dark, and very cold. But I am Excited! The Branch there is apparently wonderful. I will also have a car, so that is a plus! I will be taking a train down to Malmö tomorrow and then I will take a plane up to Luleå! Crazy! My area stretches from Norway to Finland. It will be cool to be able to go back up to Norrland again. It will be around the same time I was in Norrland last year.
I know (and this is from experience) that when hard times come, do not drift away from the gospel. Keep the commandments. Come unto Christ and allow his grace to lift you up. We live in wonderful and difficult times. We have the restored gospel. There is strength and miracles that come through prayer and fasting. There is guidance and knowledge in the scriptures. Do your best and let the Lord do the rest. I pray for you all every day and love you. Till next week.
