It was fantastic! It has been an interesting week, so first I will begin with Thursday.
Thursday we had district meeting in Karlskrona so Äldste Murtonen and I were on the train on our way there when we got a phone call from our district leader. Apparently, he was on splits with the Kristianstad Elders and they missed their train so they were going to be late to district meeting, about an HOUR AND A HALF LATE. Which meant we got to hang out with the Karlskrona Elders in Karlskrona for an hour. Which was awesome because they had a huge market in the cities centrum. So we got to walk around there and try all the free cheese and nut samples. It was a fun day.
Then on Friday we got the day off for Midsommar. In the morning we got to go to a little festival that had a big Maj pole with people in traditional clothing that danced around it and then later everyone else got to dance around it. There were families everywhere that were picnicking. A lot of girls were wearing flower crowns. It was a fun experience. After that we were invited over to a barbecue with the Branch, were we ate sill and potatis. Sill is some kind of raw fish thing that is a traditional to eat on Midsommar. We then played games like Kubb which a super frustrating game were you throw sticks at blocks of wood and it has different kinds a rules and stuff. This time, it was actually super fun to play. The Branch was all really fun to be with and we all had a good time. They did a good job of keeping us fed.
I think Växjö is trying to kill me. On Friday I got super sun burned. First bedbugs, then a bad sunburn, and now I have had super bad allergies that makes me sneeze every five seconds. It has been fun. I have really enjoyed my time here. And also despite all the fun it sounds like I have been having I am still working.
