Then on Tuesday we were told that they needed help planting flowers on the temple grounds so we went to that. That was nice to be able to talk to the members in our zone again as well as just be on the temple grounds. They have been doing some landscaping on the outside of the temple so it is really nice now. Just a super good spirit there.
Wednesday and Thursday were regular proselyting days. On Wednesday we went to visit Stockholm's district meeting and it was interesting to hear how all the members in Stockholm are doing. Then we met with quite a few investigators and talked to some people on the street. Thursday we had to be pretty bold with quite a few people. It felt almost everyone on Thursday wanted to argue with us. But, we kept our cool and were always able to end on good terms with people.
Then on Friday we had midsummer the whole day! It was a good day. We started off the day as usual at 6:30 and having personal study. We had Swedish pancakes for breakfast and took a nap. Then at 12:00 we got a ride from a member up to a farm in Tyrestaby for Midsommar. It was great weather and a great location. The Midsommar party use to be run by the Church and now it still kinda run by the Church. Anyway we had a fun time seeing a bunch of missionaries from the Stockholm areas as well as a ton of members from all over Stockholm. We got to have some BBQ and dance around the midsommarstång. I got to see an investigator that I taught in Stockholm and talk to her again. There was also a tug of war competition which was fun. Then after we left the celebration we traveled to a park with a bunch of missionaries and played capture the flag. That was way fun as well. It was all just a good environment and it felt really Swedish. Just a fun celebration. I am totally going to be celebrating Middsommar when I get home.
Then on Saturday we had the day off till 18:00 so we played basketball with some other missionaries for like 4 straight hours. That was a lot of fun. We were wrecking each other in basketball while MoTab and EFY music was playing. So that was fun. Then church on Sunday was great. I got to translate sacrament meeting and we sang Praise to the Man in Swedish for a musical number. That was fun.
Anyway that was my week. And now it's P-day again, which is weird because it feels like we just had a ton of P-days. I am pretty excited to be able to get to work again. We have a ton of things planned for this week. We got to go on splits with some missionaries as well as travel to some other district meetings. So it will be a good week of work. President Beckstrand will be leaving the mission this Saturday and President Youngberg will be coming in then too. It will be sad to see President Beckstrand go, He has done some amazing things in this mission and has served the Lord well here in Sweden. It will be fun to see the Beckstrands again when I am home. The mission is in a really good place right now for President Youngberg to come in. I know that the work is only going to continue going forward here in Sweden.
